Microwave Imaging of the Buried Dielectric Objects Based on Non-Radiating Subspace Reconstruction

چکیده
Imaging of dielectric cylinders buried in a known inhomogeneous medium based on nonradiating (NR) current reconstruction is presented. For this, we use the finite element-boundary integral (FE-BI) method to formulate the scattering problem, then, we modify the subspace optimization method (SOM) by using sequential quadratic programming (SQP) for solving inverse scattering problem. Also the effect of NR current is determined

Hybrid method for full identification of buried objects and surrounding media
This study describes a hybrid technique for identification of buried objects. The objects shape and electromagnetic profile are reconstructed from evaluations of electrical permittivity and conductivity. The method suggests a combination of linear sampling and optimization. Linear sampling method (LSM) is used to recover shape and metaheuristic optimizations essential to reconstruct the inside...
متن کاملGlobally convergent and adaptive finite element methods in imaging of buried objects from experimental backscattering radar measurements
We consider a two-stage numerical procedure for imaging of objects buried in dry sand using timedependent backscattering experimental radar measurements. These measurements are generated by a single point source of electric pulses and are collected using a microwave scattering facility which was built at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Our imaging problem is formulated as the inv...
متن کاملElectromagnetic Imaging of Dielectric Cy- Linders by Differential Evolution and Sin- Gle Integral Equation
A technique is described for the electromagnetic reconstruction of the location, shape, dielectric constant, and conductivity of buried homogeneous cylinders of elliptic cross-section. The inversion procedure is based on the Differential Evolution algorithm and the forward problem is solved using the single boundary integral method. Simulation results are presented which demonstrate that this h...
متن کاملIterative Nonlinear Reconstruction of Isotropic and Anisotropic 2d Objects Using Te and Tm Polarizations
The characterization of buried or non-buried objects generally constitutes an increasingly wide area of research with various applications. In this paper, we present a 2D microwave imaging algorithm taking into account both 2D-TM and 2D-TE polarization configurations. The development of a forward scattering algorithm is first described. Second, the inverse problem is obtained by minimizing a co...
متن کاملA Data Focusing method for Microwave Imaging of Extended Targets
This paper presents a data focusing method (DFM) to image extended targets using the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm. The restriction on the number of transmitter-receiver antennas in a microwave imaging system deteriorates profiling an extended target that comprises many point scatterers. Under such situation, the subspace-based linear inverse scattering methods, like the MUSI...
